On July 18, 2026, Global French Education welcomed 27 participants to an open French class at 1 Bartley Bull Pkwy, Brampton, ON L6W 3T7. The session was intended for beginners and learners exploring practical French.

An invitation needs a response

Inviting a friend and arranging weekend activities gave this summer conversation class its focus. Learners practised making an invitation, accepting and sharing a simple plan. The theme connected vocabulary with the information another person needs: what is proposed and how the meeting might fit into their own plans.

Putting the language into practice

Speaking practice linked complete sentences with a familiar social purpose. The task was more than naming an activity: it involved putting forward an idea and leaving room for a reply. That structure can support later conversations as learners add more detail about times, places and preferences.

A practice idea to take further

Ask Vous voulez aller au parc samedi ? Practise accepting, then agreeing on a time with À quelle heure ? Change the activity and day for a second round while keeping the exchange short.

A short exercise is most useful when you return to it. Revisit the exchange on another day, change one detail and notice what you can say without checking your notes. Use any remaining hesitation to choose a question for your next lesson.
