The hardest step in learning a language is walking into the classroom.
So we split that step into two: a fixed open day (free) and a trial lesson you can book at any time ($35, credited toward tuition if you enrol).
Two ways in
| Open day | Paid trial lesson | |
|---|---|---|
| When | First Saturday of each quarter | Weekdays, at your convenience; book 48 hours ahead |
| Length | 90 minutes | 30 minutes |
| What it includes | Campus tour, 30-minute trial lesson and a free placement test | You sit in on the first 30 minutes of a real class |
| Cost | Free | $35 (credited toward tuition if you enrol) |
| Places | Up to 12 people per session | 1 person |
| Best for | Still comparing options | You have decided to learn and want to check the teacher and the pace |
What you will see
What you can see:
- The start of a real class, not a show lesson prepared for visitors.
- How the teacher handles a student who does not understand, which matters more than how well they lecture.
- The level of the other students, which decides whether you would be held back or left behind.
- The classrooms and their soundproofing as they really are.
What you will not see:
- The full course structure, which takes several weeks in a row to see.
- Your actual level, which needs a placement test.
- The teacher marking homework or going over a mock exam.
We do not stage show lessons. The class you sit in on is the one current students are taking at that moment.
How a trial lesson works
| Step | Length | Details |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Book | Through the form below or by email: tell us the level you are interested in and when you can come | |
| 2. Confirmation | Within 24 hours | We reply with a specific class and time |
| 3. Arrive | 10 minutes early | Sign in at reception and get a seat |
| 4. Sit in | 30 minutes | You sit at the back of the room and do not take part |
| 5. Talk | 15 minutes | With the teacher or staff: does what you saw match what you need? |
| 6. Optional placement test | 40 minutes | Free, can be booked on the spot |
Step 5 is the key one. After the class we do not start selling. We ask whether you can keep up with this pace. If not, we offer a different class to observe.
Open day
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Frequency | Once a quarter, on the first Saturday |

| Programme | 14:00 campus tour; 14:30 trial lesson; 15:00 placement test and Q&A |

Bring your family. Often one person wants to learn and their partner is unsure, and one visit together beats ten explanations.
