Our campus

Our Brampton campus: 12 classrooms of up to 8 students, a mock-exam room, study area, free Wi-Fi.

Our campus is in Brampton, at 1 Bartley Bull Pkwy. We have twelve classrooms, each with a maximum of 8 students. It is not that the rooms cannot hold more: beyond that, someone would stop getting a turn to speak in every class.

Here is what we actually have.

The tables move because half of a language class is small-group practice, which does not work in a room with fixed rows.

Learning resources

  • Textbook: printed handouts common to each level, written to the CEFR, plus an online exercise bank valid for one year ($84 per level, included in every bundle).
  • Library corner: about 120 books.

Study and waiting areas

  • Study area: 10 seats, open outside class hours; students can stay to do homework.
  • Free Wi-Fi throughout the campus.
  • Children’s waiting area: children can wait there while a parent is in class (no supervision is provided).

Online classes

Online and in-person classes have the same teacher, the same handouts and the same speaking time, at the same price. We do not replace the class with a recording.

  • Platform: Zoom.
  • Equipment: each classroom has a camera and an omnidirectional microphone, so online students can hear the whole class.
  • Replays: every class is recorded and kept for 30 days.
  • Requirement: camera on. If we cannot see your mouth, we cannot correct your pronunciation.

Mock-exam room

One room is set aside for mock exams, separate from the teaching area, with no classes scheduled in it on mock-exam days.

  • 8 closed-back headphones, with disposable ear covers.
  • 1 invigilator per session.
  • Listening is played once.
  • Scratch paper is handed out and collected; phones go in a bag.
  • Results are given the same day.

See the Mock exams page.

Accessibility and safety

  • Fire exits are marked and there is an emergency phone.
  • Classroom doors do not lock: during children’s classes, parents can walk in at any time.
