On February 21, 2026, Global French Education welcomed 28 participants to an open French class at 1 Bartley Bull Pkwy, Brampton, ON L6W 3T7. The session was intended for beginners and learners exploring practical French.
Choosing words for the person in front of you
Greetings, questions about how someone is doing, thanks and polite replies formed the material for this social French class. Demonstrations with different roles helped connect a phrase with the person and setting. The purpose was to move beyond recognizing a familiar expression towards knowing when and how to use it.

Putting the language into practice
Short exchanges linked Bonjour with a follow-up question and response. That small extension changes the task: the speaker must listen and leave room for someone else. For beginners, a brief greeting sequence can provide a useful introduction to the social choices that accompany vocabulary and pronunciation.
A practice idea to take further
Compare Comment allez-vous ? and Comment vas-tu ? Practise each in a suitable imagined setting, then add a reply and a return question. Keep the level of familiarity consistent through the exchange.
A short exercise is most useful when you return to it. Revisit the exchange on another day, change one detail and notice what you can say without checking your notes. Use any remaining hesitation to choose a question for your next lesson.
