On April 12, 2025, Global French Education welcomed 17 participants to an open French class at 1 Bartley Bull Pkwy, Brampton, ON L6W 3T7. The session was intended for beginners and learners exploring practical French.
Making basic structures personal
This beginner class focused closely on introducing yourself. Name, age, languages and interests supplied the content for short exchanges, while grammar was introduced through use. Linking a structure to a personal detail gave learners a concrete reason to choose a word, arrange a sentence and say it aloud.

Putting the language into practice
The group of 17 offered a smaller setting for guided oral practice. Rather than assembling a long biography, the work concentrated on clear, manageable statements. That is a useful foundation for later conversation: a brief introduction that can be adapted is easier to reuse than a paragraph learned word for word.
A practice idea to take further
Try Je parle anglais et j’apprends le français. Change the languages to match your experience. Say the sentence naturally before adding an age, occupation or hobby.
A short exercise is most useful when you return to it. Revisit the exchange on another day, change one detail and notice what you can say without checking your notes. Use any remaining hesitation to choose a question for your next lesson.
